YOUTH CONCERTS

Young Songwriters Concert

with Robyn Martin and Leif Helland. Now an annual event especially for young musicians of the southeast, the Songwriters

Camp at The Crossing in December last year was a hoot. Beautiful weather, river surroundings, sensational music tutors and great young people, full

of ideas made for a fun three days of music exploration and development. Topics covered during camp included ‘recipe for a song’, ‘story to chorus’,

‘grow your voice’, ‘pushing thru writers block’, ‘rhythm and groove’, ‘stagecraft and banter’, ‘bridging moods’, ‘local & catchy’ and ‘plugging in your

best sound’.

A joint project of Yuin Folk Club, The Crossing, Candelo Arts Society and Four Winds this musical opportunity for high school students is unique to

our region and is a great lead up for young people wanting to perform on The Crossing Stage. Please come and support these young songwriters and

storytellers as they boldly share their Camp Offerings.

Merimbula School of Music
